NYPD killed in crash at Ed Koch Bridge trouble spot in Queens

The woman, Elisa Toro, died at the scene after striking a guard rail just before 2 a.m. on Tuesday. The car careened into a cement barrier, flipped over and crashed into a vacant storefront on Queens Plaza South near Crescent St. She is survived by two teenage sons.
