NYPD alert on rim thefts in Bayside

The NYPD issued an alert of rim thefts and catalytic converter thefts last night from Flushing, Auburndale to Bayside.

Around 4am, the suspects were seen in Flushing where residents reported of catalytic convertor thefts. Around 5am, police tracked the suspect's vehicle to Auburndale where rim thefts were reported but managed to get away.

The NYPD continues to be active in the area for these incidents as the holidays approach.

Also, the NYPD issued an order to prevent such incidents.

Meanwhile, Glen Oaks and Bellerose continue to report auto thefts. As of November 1st, 14 vehicles have been stolen.
