162 and Jamaica Avenue again in the news

Fight turned into a mess at the local probation office in Jamaica.

On Thursday afternoon around 1pm, the NYPD reported a fight inside the NYC Dept of Probation office in Jamaica. Further reports confirmed the fight turned into slashing. EMS transported the slashed victim, male, 22, to a local hospital. The suspect, male, black, took off on foot toward the south bound. ESU recovered some evidence inside the building.

This is on Jamaica Avenue and 162nd Street.

The location is one of the five offices in the city for offenders to meet with their probation officers to update with jobs, schools and other programs as part of no jail sentences.

The NYPD is on the hunt for the suspect.
