NYC is showing interest to the whole lot of buildings in Queens Village

The lot of buildings from 207 to 208 Streets on Jamaica Avenue in Queens Village is for sale. It is listed with Lee Allen of ARC Advisors. The asking price for the 41,000 square feet with 2 stories has not been disclosed but open for negotiation. One of the corner where Merrick Academy used to was a protest location for several people running for the NYC Council post back in 2015 when NYS announced it will be a halfway house. The plan was halted and the building has been empty unable to allocate tenant. On January 2018, the owner decided to sell and the mayor's office are reviewing the location. No details provided the plan of whether it will be affordable housing, shelter, jail or etc.
