All lanes of LIE shut down due to a victim struck by vehicle

Long Island Expressway westbound at Clearview Expressway shutdown due to a pedestrian struck by vehicle. Reported the pedestrian was walking in the middle lane of LIE. The driver stopped nearby and cooperating. Police are rerouting the traffic thru service road. Ongoing investigation. Update - The victim died of injuries and has been identified as Sameer Chettri, 35 of Jackson Heights.
