Multiple injuries after explosion in Flushing Meadows Park

Heavy FDNY at the Flushing Meadow Corona Park in the tennis stadium reporting a transformer fire resulting explosion landed multiple people at the local hospital. This is at the ESPN stage.

It happened at Shea Road and Meridian Road around 1:45pm.

Police reported the equipment were on fire that was setup by the event company.
