More than twenty new public schools added for NYC

The NYC Mayor stated 24 new public schools has been added for the new school year in NYC. Queens has 6, 1 in Manhattan, 8 in the Bronx and 9 in Brooklyn. That's a total of 11,019 new seats.

Earlier today, local Council members along with the Queens Borough President held a press meet to make classrooms smaller sizes.

Some of the new features are equipped with the latest technology, science labs and more spaces.

Also, the new migrant children are also enrolled and the city is working to add more schools by surveying locations.

The more schools, the more money allocated for the education department including hiring new teachers especially for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Tomorrow is the first day of school for NYC public schools.
