Mineola man sentenced to 20 years for murder

Marvin Yanez, 43 of Mineola was sentenced to 20 years in person. The sentence was reported on Thursday, January 25. In 2016, Yanez was arrested and charged with beating to a man to death. The victim identified as Luis Estrada, 31 was inside the Hempstea park when it happened on October 18. Yanez and Estrada were fighting and then later that night, Estrada was beaten to death.
