Manhunt underway for suspect who allegedly killed a Queens New York couple and set their home on fire

New York Police say they’re searching for a man with a 30-year criminal history out on parole who allegedly killed an elderly couple in Queens before setting their home on fire.

Authorities are searching for Jamel McGriff, 42, who they say tricked his way into the victims’ home by claiming his cell phone had died and he needed to go inside to charge it, New York Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.
