Major vehicle accidents in Queens and Nassu County

For Queens, the NYPD reported two major accidents involving vehicles. On Monday, a driver was taken into custody after allegedly reversing in Astoria. The incident was reported around 5:30pm on 35th Avenue. A 7 and 14 year old teen along with a 58 year old male pedestrian were taken to local hospitals with injuries now in stable condition. On Thursday around 7pm, 9 pedestrians were taken to local hospitals after a car crash involving a bus on Liberty Avenue and Lefferts Blvd in South Ozone Park. All are in stable condition as of today.

As for Nassau County, a driver, 71 years old, suffered a medical episode and rear ended another vehicle in the front resulting in chain reaction. No pedestrians were injured but 6 people from the vehicles were taken to local hospitals and the 71 year old died later at the hospital.

All incidents remain under investigation.
