Long Island on alert warning of snow removal resulting fatalities

Both NCPD and SCPD reported six people died from the snow due to health conditions. Nassau County confirmed three deaths from health related issues after show shoveling.

As for Suffolk County, one death confirmed from shoveling, one was found buried in the snow and another with unknown health conditions was found outside.

The medical examiners will determine the cause of death.

All are over 60 years old.

This came after a retired police officer died in Floral Park from clearing snow outside the church steps for the service.
