NYC public schools back to normal sessions after the blizzard

The most expensive public schools nationwide, NYC, had attendance higher today than yesterday despite snowing this morning. Beside learning, NYC public schools have free meals for all while most complains for unlimited buffet which is not happening, mental health support, child care and other programs costing $34,717 per student not including transportation, food and other services which can be close to $42,000 for the year 2026 according to the Comptroller's office.

For Tuesday, almost 200,000 people signed a petition online for remote learning but the Chancellor says in-person is a must.

The Chancellor also says 63% students were in attendance for Tuesday while some 12,000 teachers and staff stayed home. A normal attendance rate from the last school year was about 89%.

With March coming up in four days and Spring weather, there won't be another blizzard likely and kids are always happy to attend NYC public schools where everyone wants to learn since only months before graduation to colleges such as Harvard, Yale and Columbia.
