Locals ranted until a community voice is heard in Queens

Alright Roosevelt Avenue here comes the first town hall on Human Trafficking and Subway Surfing Awareness. This meeting will be held in Corona at the local public school on Thursday, April 10 from 6pm to 8pm.

Corona, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst and one part of Flushing has been plagued with human trafficking and the local elected officials look the other way. This is organized by District 24 community activists and concerned parents inviting local elected officials and the Mayor who are always disputing and bragging that Roosevelt Avenue is safe.

The oldest profession continues to operate under a watch group of certain control of market grabbers despite NYPD patrolling the area.

Both NYC Mayor and NYS Governor say lack of funding is the main problem to combat and add more programs to help the victims which requires an easy $1 billion minimum.

The event is open to the public.
