The SCPD is on the Long Island Expressway eastbound reporting all lanes are closing due to a fully involved vehicle fire. This is by Exit 53 in Dix Hills.

Traffic is being rerouted to local roads as firefighters are working on the scene.

EMS is checking for injuries.
