Hold to the escooters in one section of Queens

After slew of complaints from local residents and commercial stores of escooters laying on the sidewalk, private properties and on the roads, the City Council Speaker will have a press statement tomorrow in Jamaica to consider holding the pilot program from moving forth.

Union Turnpike in Fresh Meadows reported the most complaints from locals after escooters were scattered all over the sidewalks blocking walkways.

After success in the Bronx, the pilot program moved to northeast Queens first and then expanded to southeast mainly Jamaica.

The three main companies that provides the services, Bird, Veo and Lime are major contributor force to the city that doesn't require bike racks like CitiBike.

The NYC Dept of Transportation that oversees the operation stated the necessities including racks will be installed in the coming weeks or months.

This means they are in Queens to stay with changes here and there.

In the coming weeks, it will be expanded to Hollis, Glen Oaks, Bellerose to New Hyde Park.
