Jewelry store robbed on Long Island

The NCPD is at the local jewelry store in Bellmore reporting a gang of suspects entered the location with masks.

This is on Sunrise Highway near Bellmore Avenue.

Then broke the display glasses and removed items with hammers.

Two of the workers were injured during the incident.

The suspects wearing overalls with black hoodies took off in a vehicle toward the Sunrise Highway westbound.

A witness reported to police the vehicle is a Dodge Durango green with paper plates.

EMS is attending to the workers and all involved.

Chopper is assisting with the search.

Heavy police presence on the scene.
