Jamaica Avenue closed in the QV

Police have closed off Jamaica Avenue reporting a pedestrian struck by vehicle. This is by 213th Street in Queens Village.

EMS transported the pedestrian to a local hospital in critical condition and unconscious.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police.

ESU is working on the scene along with Highway CIS.

Ongoing investigation.
