It was one heck of a scene with arrests in Flushing

The NYPD reported the arrest of two people in Flushing for assault and more assault with one using a pickaxe.

The incident was reported this morning around 9am on Kissena Blvd and Elder Avenue when a driver and pedestrian put their pride and ego first and then exchanged assaults. One witness stated the pedestrian had right of way and the driver wouldn't stop. This is when the escalation started.

According to a witness, the driver went back to the vehicle and came out with a pickaxe.

The pedestrian suffered injuries.

EMS transported the injured to a local hospital with cuffs to the gurney and the driver to the local precinct.

Bystanders were shocked to see the incident.

Charges are pending.

Ongoing investigation.
