Indian man arrested for security breach at LaGuardia Airport

LGA - Police arrested Phani Kumar Varanasi, 41 of India after LaGuardia Airport had lock down at Terminal B on Tuesday at 6:25pm due to security breach. After investigation from surveillance and passenger list, Varanasi was called at his brother's home in New Jersey where he was staying during the visit to LGA's PAPD office. He was charged with trespassing and his hearing is on Thursday, May 25 at Queens Criminal Court. Varanasi told police he was lost during the incident. He entered a secure area through the exit gate which was open and was not sure where he was heading. The TSA worker who were there at the time is also being questioned. pic by PAPD. Reported 2pm.
