Bayside man busted for skimming devices in 20 locations at Long Island

Long Island - Gabriel Olaru, 30 also using the name Nicholas Moga of Bayside was arrested on Tuesday, May 23 after an investigation. Police reported more than 20 locations around both Nassau and Suffolk Counties had skimming devices installed allegedly by Olaru or the network he belongs to. The latest incident occurred at 7-Eleven ATM in Southampton on Flanders Road. Authorities reported Olaru is part of Romanian network of gangs known to place skimming devices nationwide USA. Olaru, a Romanian citizen has been charged with criminal possession of forgery device, unlawful possession of skimmer device and other felony charge. The investigation is ongoing. pic by scpd.
