Homicide investigation in Bellerose after fatal fire

The NYPD is at the Bellerose home where the fire occurred in the vicinity of 87th Avenue and 254 Street reporting one dead.

Firefighters removed a body after the fire was brought under control which started around 3:15pm.

The area is closed for investigation.

Local residents are advised to move vehicles for ConEd personnel for enroute.

Firefighters are searching for more people if any.

Detectives and fire marshals are also on the scene

Ongoing investigation.
