Hit and run involving an 8 month girl in Long Island

Police reported a hit and run in Suffolk County involving an 8 month old girl. It happened on Sunday around 9pm on Davidson Street and Pine Street in Wyandanch when a multiple vehicle accident was reported with one flipped upside down. The driver took off on foot after managing to exit the flipped vehicle. Inside an 8 month old girl and her mother were trapped. Both were taken to local hospitals. The other vehicle reported no injuries to involved. Ongoing investigation. Update - The 8 month old died.
