Heavy fire damaged a long time community supermarket in Flushing

The FDNY reported heavy fire at the local H Mart in Flushing around 4am. This is on Union Street between 29 Road and 29th Avenue. The fire was declared a third alarm which took firefighters more than two hours to bring it under control.

EMS reported no injuries to those staying in the basement.

The fire marshal reported the location is now under investigation to what caused the fire.
