Decomposed remains found in Rosedale

The NYPD reported decomposing body parts were found inside a garbage bag in Rosedale. The incident was reported near 149th Avenue and Brookville Blvd on Monday morning by the local sanitation workers who were picking up garbage after a foul odor.

The medical examiner transported the remains to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Cops confirmed the remains belong to a woman.

Detectives are now working on the case.
