Heavy fire at an apartment in Jackson Heights

FDNY report heavy fire at 89-11 34th Avenue. The fire started around 1pm in the 6th floor and extended to the neighboring apartments. Police are advising all to avoid the area due to heavy smoke. More than 100 firefighters are working on the scene. EMS is checking on all involved. Firefighters are working on the scene.
