Heat to cops all over the area

So far one person was arrested in Patchogue, Suffolk County after cops broke car windows to remove a 2 year old child to safety. The child is now in the care of a family member and charges are pending against the father.

Manhole fires continue to go around the city and the utility company is at all scenes.

FDNY is having a busy day with calls from smoke to fire, car crash to car fire, emergency to health conditions etc along with the EMS in the scorching heat.

Belt Parkway reported the most vehicle incidents.

Long Island reported overturned vehicles and motorcycle accidents.

In other incidents due to power outages, people have been rescued from elevators not working.

As for the NYPD Traffic Division, agents are working at busy intersections coordinating traffic.

Kudos for first responders working today.
