Fatal pedestrian struck by vehicle in Stony Brook

Police closed off the Nicolls Road in both directions from Shirley Kenny Drive to Health Sciences Drive in the area of Stony Brook University Hospital due to a fatal accident. The pedestrian died on the scene. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police. It happened around 7:15pm. Ongoing investigation.
