Fatal fire at a home on Long Island

The SCPD reported heavy fire at a home on Long Island with one dead. This is on Village Circle N in Manorville, Suffolk County. Firefighters reported the fire started around 6:30am this morning and was brought under control by 7:30am.

The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

EMS treated all at the scene.

This is the second fire this week with fatality on Long Island.

On Monday, around 1:45am, in Island Park, Nassau County reported a fire with one dead. The male has been recovered from the home today as per police and the medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

The cause of fire at both locations are under investigation.
