Deadline is looming but NY is not worried

March 21, that's 3 days away for the congestion pricing to be terminated as per the Trump Administration for using federal land to earn money for the NY state. The NY Governor is not responding but the NYC Mayor is all smiles since the money goes to MTA.

Here are the top 5 highlights of MTA.

Generates $6.8 billion in fares, $2.8 billion from the federal funding, $7.2 billion from the NYS, $1.5 billion from tolls and The metropolitan commuter transportation mobility tax (MCTMT).

Still not enough for the MTA to sustain.

Meanwhile, a new enforcement is coming April 16 for vehicles covering plates with $50 fines.

All camera enforcement must read license plates clearly without plastic or glass covers and if not, you will see a flash light and the fine in the mail. If plates are not readable, then a warrant will be issued for the next trip for confiscated.

The NYPD warned under this new enforcement, stolen plates will be an issue. To combat that, they will make an announcement after brainstorming.
