Dispute turned fatal in Corona involving a teen

The NYPD reported a dispute resulted with one dead in the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue in Corona. The incident was reported this morning around 4am after a 16 year old was struck by a vehicle after a dispute outside a local street vendor eatery.

According to local witnesses after the dispute, the driver went to his vehicle, a Chevy Suburban and allegedly struck the victim who died on the scene. Police patrolling the area nabbed the driver shortly, male, 39, in the vicinity of Benham Street after striking a parked vehicle.

The medical examiner transported the body of the teen to conduct an autopsy. EMS reported one injury who was the victim's mother.

Charges are pending for the suspect.

The investigation continues.
