Pedestrian struck by vehicle died on the Belt Parkway

The NYPD reported a pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on the Belt Parkway on Friday morning around 6am. The incident was reported in the vicinity of Lefferts Blvd. Police didn't disclose details why the pedestrian was on the Belt Parkway during the early rush hour traffic.

Also this morning on Saturday around 9am, Utopia Parkway near 58th Avenue reported multiple vehicle accidents involving over five vehicles. This is in Fresh Meadows. A witness says five cars were totalled, 3 BMW, 1 Nissan Rogue and 1 Hyundai. EMS transported all the injured to local hospitals with one in critical condition.

There were more than 27 vehicle accidents in Queens alone from Friday night to Saturday morning.
