Criminal possession of a controlled substance arrest Town of Lawrence

On October 25, 2025, New York State Police members arrested Jennifer L. Crump, age 49, of Ogdensburg, NY, and Gary P. Crump, age 55, of Nicholville, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

At approximately 6:06 p.m., Troopers observed a 1997 Jeep Wrangler traveling on County Route 54 in the town of Lawrence in violation of vehicle and traffic laws. Troopers initiated a traffic stop and identified the operator as Gary Crump and the passenger as Jennifer Crump. During the interview, it was determined that neither had a valid New York State driver’s license.Gary Crump was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation. While being searched, he was found to be in possession of narcotics, at which time Jennifer Crump claimed ownership of the narcotics. Both subjects were taken into custody. A search of the vehicle revealed additional narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The narcotics were later identified as cocaine.

Gary and Jennifer Crump were transported to SP Massena for processing. Gary was charged with four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and issued multiple vehicle and traffic tickets. Jennifer was charged with five counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
