State Police arrest Gloversville man following rape investigation

On October 16, 2025, State Police arrested Shane A. Murray, 19 of Gloversville, NY for two counts of rape in the second degree.

On April 10, 2025, Troopers received information reporting the possible sexual assault of a child. The investigation determined Murray allegedly sexually assaulted a child under the age of 15 while in Broadalbin, NY on more than one occasion.

Murray was transported from the Fulton County Correctional Facility where he was being held on unrelated charges to SP Mayfield where he was processed. He was then arraigned at the Broadalbin Town Court where he was remanded back to the Fulton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 cash or $150,000 bond.
