Come to Queens and try the free bus ride says the Mayor

The NYC Mayor is hurt by the news that subway and bus fares rose from $2.90 to $3 by MTA which is very expensive to New Yorkers. Over the weekend, the Mayor went to Jackson Heights to hop Q70, the only bus route that's free to the local LaGuardia Airport. During the ride, the Mayor listened to people in the bus why it's free and they said it's their route to work while some said the bus and subway should not be free since it's the working class that's paying anyway so leave it alone. Many stated a fair price is the best practice which the MTA is working with the NY Governor to expand the discount programs to all eligible based on income. The MTA is rolling out that program this year with the expansion.

In reality the free bus program is not going to happen this year but all are welcome to enjoy the free Q70 which was launched in April 2022 to ride from Jackson Heights to LaGuardia Airport. During the ride, the scenery of Flushing is so beautiful to see with planes landing and taking off.
