Staying to deal with at the local park in Flushing

Over the weekend, the NYC Parks, NYPD, FDNY and EMS were called to the local park at Flushing Meadows Corona reporting of homeless camps where small fires occurred in different areas. This is in the vicinity of the Van Wyck Expressway where park goers reported of tents with homeless being placed around where many say they don't bother anyone so leave them be while others say they need to be at shelters for children's safety. FDNY arrived to put out small fires over the weekend multiple times over territorial disputes in government land. EMS tried to transport some from the area but refused to cooperate. The NYC Park staff is monitoring the situation around the clock awaiting for the Mayor's office to respond on the next update. Many local non profits are looking into the situation but they say most are day laborers and migrants.
