Columbus statue will remain at Columbus Circle

The Mayor's office confirmed the status of Christopher Columbus statue at Columbus Circle will remain as it is. However, few more monuments will be added to allow all to know the history. No details on the accuracy of history and sources as of yet. One monument is to honor indigenous peoples and another is history of Columbus journey and other information. One group, the Italians, celebrated of the 125 year old status will not be removed. Also, the annual parade will go on as usual.
