NYC affordable housing for low income is growing

Mayor di Blasio reported in 2017, over 24,500 homes were allocated to low income people and families as part of the affordable housing plan. The mayor stated its the largest compared to 23,100 in 1989. This is the prime campaign di Blasio focused on the second election that gave him victory. The budget was over $1 billion dollars for over 88,000 new and protected affordable homes including 17,300 were renovated and 7,200 were newly added. The total of low income people and families having affordable housing is at 163,905. The city also invested for programs to allow all to have free consultation and advertising to lure more people to use affordable homes.
