Child luring incident reported in Astoria

The NYPD released surveillance images of a perp wanted in questioning to an incident that occurred on Monday evening in Astoria. Police say the alleged perp is accused of trying to lure a child below the age 10 toward a van parked with an accomplice.

The incident was reported near Crescent Street and 33rd Avenue. The suspect from the police description is a female and the accomplice is a male. Police say the child managed to run away while the perp followed until get away.

The child was not injured.

The investigation continues.
