Bye mall hello Babylon towers in Jamaica

The long standing Jamaica Coliseum Mall is expected to close before the end of this month after being sold to a developer company to make way for the next Babylon tower as part of the affordable housing plan.

January 31st is the last day with all are welcome to visit one more time before closing for good.

This is all part of gentrifying the area. Last week, the NY Governor announced $50 million taxpayer funds to revamp the Jamaica station transit hub all around. This is the new demographic where long timers with small but cherishing memory homes are all going going and soon gone. No more homes in the area but all glass buildings and new stories to start discussing for the next 50 years until the next one comes.

The area is slowly building towers one another all around where starting rent is at an affordable $3,000 per month.
