Multiple transit workers assaulted in Queens

The NYPD is actively investigating assaults on transit workers in Queens. The latest incident occurred in Jackson Heights on Sunday around 6pm at the 74th Street/Roosevelt Avenue station where an MTA conductor was beaten on duty. Police say the suspect, male, black is on the hunt.

Last Thursday around 1:30am, an MTA conductor was assaulted at the A train station heading to the Rockaways. The suspect was upset for going to the wrong stop and took it on the conductor.

For this incident, police say the suspect is male, black who is still on the hunt. According to the local union, MTA workers' assault is at an all time high despite overall crime numbers down.

The investigation continues.
