Brain storm sessions coming to NY on comfort

Starting January 1, 2026, all new construction in NY must be all electric and no fossil fuel. This includes boilers nope nada for heat. Tenants will pay for the comfort of cool or heat temperatures all around leaving building owners with a major relief to avoid gas charges.

However, except ConEd, statewide reported many local utility companies refuse to honor the deal with new construction after reporting the grid lacks capacity to supply the required power outage. Northern NY mainly Buffalo and Rochester will have a hard time meeting the comfort if the temperature drops below 20 degrees.

As for ConEd, the Governor is reviewing the new program to increase the grid for NYC since it has reached the capacity where many locations are advised to go to the cooling centers instead of staying inside the comfort of their own home.

The Mayor's office confirmed more EV charging stations are set for the five boroughs.

ConEd will get what they want and there is nothing anyone can do about it but pay the increasing bill on time for new investments to keep you all comfortable.

Moreover, landlords can convert heat into electric making tenants pay starting next year.

Enjoy.
