Assault leading to rape reported on Union Turnpike

Police were called for assault on Union Turnpike and 237th Street in Queens Village. Further investigation reported it was a rape when the victim was taken to the hospital. It happened on September 10 around 10pm. Police arrested the suspect and charged with the crime.
