Arson to cash investigation in Flushing

The FDNY is working at a house fire in Flushing near Northern Blvd where the fire started around 3:30pm this afternoon. This is on Sanford Avenue near 165th Street where Northern Blvd is. The fire started in the first floor and smoke extended to the second and third floor. EMS transported the injured to local hospitals.

Sanford Avenue is closed for emergency vehicles.

The fire marshal say over $1,000,000 cash was found in the possession and the location was rented to tenants who refuse to cooperate with law enforcement.

As of now, the cause of fire is under investigation.

Firefighters are working on the scene.
