Warning message to subway riders in NYC

The NYPD issued a steep warning for subway commuters to stay alert of their surroundings after reporting of nine victims involved in push incidents for this year to April 3, 2026. All the incidents are reported on the rush lines where people are going to work or going home from work.

The NYC Mayor's office says this is a mental health crisis which needs more budget to determine why people do this to others. Meanwhile, all the victims from the subway push has decided they no longer go to work that requires the subway despite being the safest city to travel around subways.

The other leading crime is harassment followed by assault including slashings.
