Around the clock syndrome for cops at the local mall in Elmhurst

Everyday there is shoplifting, thefts and robberies at the local mall on Queens Blvd in Elmhurst. The latest incident reported by the NYPD is a stabbing inside the food court by local teens. The incident was reported on Saturday around 5pm when a teen, male, 18 was stabbed in the hands after a dispute with a group of teens.

The suspects, males, Hispanics took off on foot. EMS transported the teen to a local hospital now in stable condition.

Despite 911 calls, the workers say security is not able to handle the crisis without proper training since most of the perps are recidivists and violent offenders.

The investigation continues.
