Domestic violence in Floral Park resulted stabbing

The NYPD reported a domestic violence turned into a stabbing in Floral Park. The incident was reported on 268th Street near 80th Avenue this morning when calls came in at a private dwelling. EMS transported the victims to local hospitals. The husband died of wounds later at the hospital. The wife and two children survived now in stable condition.

The medical examiner transported the body of the male to conduct an autopsy.

Neighbors, especially long timers who have known them are in shock while some say they weren't surprised. The family is known in the close knit Italian community.

The investigation continues.
