Accident on Union Turnpike and 271st today afternoon

A Lincoln Navigator was going west on Union Turnpike until a Dodge Caravan was coming out of the parking lot of New Hyde Park's stores on 271st Street. The Caravan was trying to make a right but the driver did not realize it was close to the middle lane while moving slowly to see. The Navigator collided with the Caravan and minor injuries were reported for the Caravan driver who was shaken up well. It happened late afternoon today.
