A new norm for drivers

As of tonight, 14 drivers lost control and either hit a pole or parked vehicles after exiting or turning lanes in NYC. The latest are at Queens Blvd and Union Turnpike where a pole was knocked down with wires down. Luckily the people waiting for the Q46 bus were not involved. Another one reported on the corner of 164 Street and Booth Memorial Avenue by the construction spot. Horace Harding Wxpressway eastbound after 164 Street was closed after driver exited from the LIE hit a pole. Maybe the old fashioned way of using necks to turn and look may help preventing.
