Zip tied robbery investigations in Corona

The NYPD released surveillance pictures of one of the incident involving a robbery in Corona. This incident was reported on July 17 around 12:45pm in front of the locals where the suspect approached the victim from a white van. Then grabbed the victim and zip tied while robbery was taking place from escaping.

Local neighbors say this is the new method used by gangs to rob people in the Jackson Heights, Corona and Elmhurst vicinity by using zip ties. Another neighbor says the same incident happened on 108 Street near Roosevelt Avenue.

Locals are advised to stay alert.
