Train delays in Central Islip due to fatality

The LIRR station in Central Islip has police investigating a person struck by train and died. The incident was reported around 2:15pm. ESU removed the body and the medical examiner is working to transport it to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Continuing traffic is being provided by shuttle buses in both directions.
